Come join us for our very first JLMI lecture streaming live directly from Tokyo. We’ll be exploring the seemingly familiar topic of colors in a way that you might not have considered before. However, unlike more typical ways of learning through textbooks, we will be referring to several scenes from some of Nintendo’s most popular Switch titles!
 
But you already know your colors? Well, don’t worry. Diving into some interesting idioms and phrases that use color descriptors, we’ll be learning how these unique uses of color give us a peek into the character and mentality of Japanese people and society as a whole.
 
We will go over a few examples of how color is used in particular situations, practice natural Japanese pronunciation and intonation and follow up with a brief Q&A regarding language study, our institute, working in Japan or working in the Japanese video game industry.
 
This 40-minute event will be hosted by both English and native Japanese speakers, so it will be easily understandable for all participants. It is completely free to both apply and view, and anyone throughout the world is free to join!
