Our Japanese voice acting workshop takes students through everything they will need to know about the voice acting industry in Japan. In this workshop, you’ll learn how professional voice actors in Japan train, how check Japanese intonation patterns, and you’ll also learn tips and tricks used in the industry before we tackle the ultimate challenge: voicing anime scenes together! It will be fun, casual, informative, educational and most of all, very practical.

【What we’ll cover：】
・Warming up for a voice performance (tongue-twisters)
・Learning about Japanese intonation patterns

・Going over the script and anime scene to be voiced together

We’ll also have time to answer any questions you have about voice acting.

【登壇者】

Instructor: Jenya ( Program director at JVTA, Corporate Communication Division)
Born in Novosibirsk, Russia, Jenya is a professional voice actress, singer, and radio personality based in Japan. She moved to Japan in 2005 with the dream of becoming a voice actress.
She made her debut voicing an operator in the NERV Betania base in Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance. She translated lines into Russian and provided linguistic coaching as well. She voiced the role of Viola in Last Exile – Fam, the Silver Wing and had a major role as Klara in the Girls und Panzer films. In 2022, she voiced her first main role as Zoya in Akiba Maid War, for which she also sang the opening theme. In addition to anime, she has appeared in educational programs and variety shows on Japanese television and is active as a singer.
